Section 1 [Scope]
This Constitution applies to all parts of the Kingdom of
Denmark.![]()
Section 2 [State Form]
The form of government shall be that of a constitutional
monarchy. The Royal Power is inherited by men and women
in accordance with the provisions of the Succession to the
Throne Act, 27th March, 1953.
Section 3 [State Powers]
The legislative power is jointly vested in the King and the
Parliament. The executive power is vested in the King. The
judicial power is vested in the courts of justice.
Section 4 [State Church]
The Evangelical Lutheran Church shall be the Established
Church of Denmark, and, as such, it shall be supported by the
State.
